The vast majority of food companies recognize the importance of a positive food safety culture and the impact of training on driving the appropriate behaviors that strengthen a food safety mindset. Gamification can play a major role in enhancing positive behavior through better understanding of food safety principles and good practices. Closing the gap between a company’s commitment to food safety and the frontline’s actual behaviors requires new thinking and approaches. ‘Gamification of food safety’ is a new approach created by Berry Media and Pulseberry Consultants to enhance understanding of food safety and lead to positive behavior changes. With this in mind, we have produced games that cover both food safety and health & safety programs.
